I’ve been online since 2018, but I decided to take a break in the middle of 2021. I recently decided to jump back online and start from scratch. In today’s post, I am going to share why I am using short videos like reels and Tiktoks. The last two online businesses I built, I specifically used Facebook to build those two businesses.
I decided on this go-around to use short videos like Instagram Reels, Tiktok, and Pinterest Ideas. So far, I am seeing a big increase in engagement and exposure to my content.
On Instagram, I have seen a 287,166% increase in accounts reached in the last 30 days by simply implementing Instagram reels into my marketing strategy. No written content, only reels. Where else could you grow your reach that much that quickly? I’ve added subscribers to my email list.
Tiktok I have smaller growth, but to be honest, I haven’t been as diligent in my posting on TikTok.
I’ve used a very simple strategy that I learned from a 15 Second Free Lead training I got for $1 after seeing so many online marketers having huge success using the same strategy taught in this training.
THE REASON I AM LOVING VIDEOS
I resisted using videos in my marketing before because I just didn’t want to speak on camera, but there are so many strategies that you can use that do not require you even to speak.
The second reason I am loving videos is It is less time-consuming. I can put out more content quicker. As I am writing this blog post, it will take me several hours to write it, edit it, post it. While I can just pick up my phone and record a short 15 second video and add some text to you and watch it reach so many more people.
REASONS TO USE SHORT VIDEOS
The first reason to use videos is they allow you to grow your know, like, & trust factor quicker. Your audience can put a face behind your message being shared. Remember, people buy from whom they know, like and trust.
The second reason to use videos is they allow belief to be transferred easier. To move people into purchasing from you is about changing their perception and belief behind your product or service. The video allows you to connect easier with your audience leading to the transfer of belief.
KEY TAKEAWAYS I HAVE LEARNED IN THE LAST 14 DAYS
The first takeaway I have learned is to make sure you have an attention grabbing hook on your video. You want people to stop scrolling and watch your video. Studies show you have less than 10 seconds to grab their attention and make them stop. You can grab my Hooks Guide that I put together here.
The second takeaway I have noticed, my original audio, aka me speaking, does not get as much engagement or views as when I used saved audio. I have one reel that has 4 times the views than all of my other videos. Is it the audio that I am using? I’m not sure, but I am going to test it with another reel and see if it performs as well. Keep you updated on that.
The third takeaway I have learned is consistency is key, as with anything in life. I try to post 2 reels per day, but some days it is only one. The experts say that on TikTok, you need to post 3-5 times per day to gain traction and Instagram reels 1-2 times per day. Since I have seen growth, I would agree that it is working for me.
