What to Do to Start Each Day in The Right Mindset

What to do to start each day in the right mindset? Every morning, I try to have a very set schedule. It just seems as if my day goes better if I have  and stick to a plan of action.

My Morning Schedule

I started practicing using a journal for daily gratitude after my daddy died back in 2015. Every morning, I write one thing I am thankful for no matter how small or large it is.  When we can begin the day with an attitude of gratitude, it is just going to set the tone for the whole day.

I have written affirmations that I read while drinking my morning happy coffee, and I always take a stroll through Facebook to read the announcements for the team page and catch up on anything that has happened overnight.  I do some morning reading most mornings, and I am really big on self developing and trying to improve myself. Towards the end of last year, I became very relaxed in my morning routine, and I could see the results in my daily attitude and results.

Focused and Intentional

I began the year very intentional , and I have to see things written down. So that involves writing down my goals for the week.  I am a member of Ray Higdon’s Rank Maker’s group and every Monday morning, our action step is to write down our activity goals for the week.   You cannot control results you can only control your activity; therefore, you only set activity goals. I have broken it down very precise to each day what activity I want to accomplish, and I mark it off daily.

I was recently watching a Facebook live or a webinar of Tanya Aliza and she made mention of a book called The Miracle Morning  by Hal Elrod that she had read and now practiced his morning routine described in the book.  She talked about how it had really increased her results in her business. I thought oh wow, I gotta read this book because there must be some serious secrets of what to do each morning to be a success.  I picked it up off of Amazon over the weekend and started reading it. Surprisingly, there were 6 steps that Hal said that he did daily that had changed his day and his life… I could hardly wait to read them.

Miracle Morning Steps

So here they are:

  1. Meditation or prayer:  10 or so minutes
  2. Reading : Self development 10-15 minutes
  3. Affirmations:  I am statements
  4. Visualization:  Visualizing items on your vision board
  5. Journaling:  Journaling daily gratitude
  6. Exercise: 10 or so minutes

The only thing that I wasn’t really doing each morning was exercising.  I was encouraged to know that my morning routine was modeling the mornings of successful people without me even knowing it.  If you don’t currently have a set schedule in the morning, and your mornings are very chaotic, try getting up thirty minutes to an hour earlier and try some of these suggestions and see if your day doesn’t go smoother.

Your morning really does set the tone for the day. Make your morning great to make your day great!
