Affiliate Marketing is in the simplest form when you help a company acquire new customers. The company then pays you for selling their product or service.
This concept is no new concept. The idea of revenue sharing or paying commission for referred business predates the internet. The concept of affiliate marketing was first patented by Willliam J. Tobin, the founder of PC Flowers & Gifts in 1989 and remained in service until 1996.
Typically, commissions from affiliate sales may range from a few dollars to thousands of dollars. It is according to the niche that you are promoting. A lot of companies may offer an affiliate program that will pay commissions for customers referred to their products. Companies such as Amazon, Walmart, and Target are well known for their affiliate programs.
In today’s post, I am going to focus more on high ticket affiliate programs.
Why High Ticket Affiliate Programs
Promoting high ticket affiliate programs take the same amount of work as low ticket programs. High ticket programs typically have products that range in price from $1000 and up. Paying out commissions of $500 and up. Obviously, it takes fewer sales to hit your income goals with high ticket programs.
3 types of High Ticket Affiliate Structures:
- Direct Pay Programs:
- Paid directly to you
- Pay to join at the level you want to earn
- 100% Commission
- There are no refunds
- There are various product levels
- It is a pay to promote structure
2. Company Value Ladder
- Promote Low Ticket front end
- High ticket sales automated by company
- Free to promote
- Small percentage converts to an upgrade
- Lose control of the high ticket sale
- May attract unqualified buyers because of the low ticketed front end price
3. Traditional Affiliate Marketing Programs
- Higher commissions on the front end
- Wide range of offers
- Wait for payment
- A lot of competition
- Free to promote
- Wide range of promotional materials
No matter, what type of high ticket structure you decide on promoting you want to make sure that you put together an evolving offer.
What does the offer consist of?
- A High ticket Product
- Support Structure
- Complimentary Resources/Assets
Please know that your offer will evolve with time. You are not married to the product or your offer. As you grow in your business, so will your offer. The main goal is to take action. Just get an offer out there.

Traffic
You got your offer built, now you have to decide on how you will get traffic to the offer. You have two types of traffic. Paid or free? Pretty simple concept right? Well, sure until you are trying to get the darn people to your offer.
Which one is going to work better you may ask? Well, my answer to you is going to be which do you have more of… time or money? Obviously, free is going to take more time to get the traffic aka people to your offer and paid is going to take less time but more money to get the people to your offer.
That is a decision you are going to have to make. If you do not skilled in running ads, my suggestion would be to start with free. My free recommendation would be Facebook. It is the fastest platform to grow an audience. You can be very proactive in your growth strategy.

Disclosure: Some of the links in this post are “affiliate links.” This means we may garner a small commission at no cost to you if you choose to make a purchase. I am not an affiliate of any product or service that I do not trust for use in my business or on my own websites. If I don’t use it, I do not promote it. This is the only way I can jury product quality, service, and support levels, which are so important to those who trust my recommendations.
