How to Rock at Decision Making With Anxiety

Let’s chat a minute about how to rock at decision making with anxiety. They go together like oil and water.

If you suffer from anxiety then you know that decision making will send the level anxiety to the roof, and it can make decision making extremely hard.

I recently joined a mastermind that was focusing on teaching me some techniques on how to grow an online business, but I knew when I joined it was going to be way more than the skills from the mastermind that I learned.

I was going to be pushed continuously out of my comfort zone and that started on day one.  You all know that growth happens when you are outside your comfort zones. You see all the cute memes on Facebook, but have you truly experienced being so uncomfortable that you saw growth in yourself or your business?

3 Stages of Decision Making

There are 3 stages when it comes to decision making.

➡️ Idea

➡️ Contemplation

➡️ Implementation

If you have anxiety, you can really get hung up in that contemplation phase and never make it to the implementation phase.  To help eliminate this, you have to have a very clear plan of action. I am not just talking about you just need to have a goal in mind.  For me, it has to be very precise.

Shift of Focus

We like to be in control, right?  Results cannot be controlled. No matter how hard we try, sometimes we cannot hit results-driven goals. This is just going to lead to further anxiety.  You HAVE to shift your focus from results-driven goals to activity-driven goals. You start focusing your energy on controlling your level of activity because you can control the level of activity, and by you hitting the goals this will lower the level of anxiety.

So my daily action plan is to grow my audience on Facebook:

My plan of action is:

➡️ Add Facebook Friends

➡️ Post to my profile

➡️ Engage in groups

➡️ Comment and engage with my friends’ profile

➡️ Start meaningful conversations with FB friends

Decision Making and Anxiety
Decision Making and Anxiety can be Difficult

FOR ME, I write it every day in my activity journal a very PRECISE PLAN OF ACTION based solely on activity,  and I mark it off as I complete:

➡️ Add 30 FB Friends

➡️ Post 2 value posts

➡️ Engage in 1 group

➡️ Engage with friends’ profile for 30 minutes per day

➡️ Start meaningful conversations with 20 FB friends

It can be so easy to let the anxiety get you stuck in the decision-making process, but the main goal is to move from the idea to the implementation as fast as possible with action.  You will be able to do that with a clear plan of action based on activity, not results. If you do enough activity, I promise the sales will come.  This is a numbers game, and you cannot beat the numbers.
